After the debut at Out of the Box 2015 in Milan, the fine art photography “Origin” by Jakob de Boer, carried in collaboration with La Marzocco, is now being exhibited at the prestigous Leica Gallery Milano, in the heart of the city’s historical-artistical center.

The project came about last Spring when de Boer visited the SONGWA coffee plantation for the first time, the seat of a non-profit endeavour in Tanzania, of which La Marzocco has been a partner for years, and which supports the local community.  The result is a photographic narrative in black and white that tells the story of coffee through the fragments of the life of this community of small farmers.

Dopo il debutto a Out of the Box 2015 a Milano, la collezione fotografica “Origin” di Jakob de Boer, realizzata in collaborazione con La Marzocco, è in mostra alla prestigiosa Leica Gallery Milano, nel centro storico-artistico della città.

Il progetto fotografico nasce la scorsa primavera quando de Boer visita per la prima volta le piantagioni di caffè di SONGWA in Tanzania, dove La Marzocco opera da anni a sostegno delle comunità locali. Il risultato è una narrazione fotografica in bianco e nero che vuole raccontare la storia del caffè attraverso i frammenti di vita delle comunità dei piccoli produttori.
