In the Museimpresa “50+!” Exhibit, Milan

mayo 1, 2016 in International, Italia

La Marzocco is represented at “50+! Il grande gioco dell’industria”, the iconographic collection that narrates the history of Italian culture and society through the display of fifty + 1 objects, selected from the archives and museums associated with Museimpresa. The exhibition in Milano will take place until May 13th.

La Marzocco’s object is the symbolic “Romeo 2”, a historical image of the Alfa Romeo dating back to 1959, when the company’s founder, Giuseppe Bambi, decided to purchase a Romeo 2 (one of the first diesel-powered motor vehicles at the time) in order to promote, within its immediate market, the La Marzocco brand.

The original Alfa Romeo rode the streets of Florence and the immediate countryside for over a decade, revealing unique craftsmanship in light of the originality of the customization of the vehicle itself and the machines that were placed on display behind glass windows. Recently, the vehicle was faithfully rebuilt and equipped with original La Marzocco coffee machines and grinders from the same period: the Comet, the Mondial, the National, the Rondine, the Disco Volante and the Vulcano…
