Coffee Encounters Update

janvier 28, 2013 in International

La Marzocco is thrilled to announce that we have secured a Gold Sponsor for the Coffee Encounters book and documentary…

FOLLOWING COFFEE ENCOUNTERS TO PANAMA
The Smudge team has been in Panama visiting Toby Smith’s coffee plantation, Santa Teresa Estate in the Chiquiri province in the north west of Panama. They have commenced the documentary we are putting together on the source of Australia’s specialty beans, and what better place than starting with the wonderful Geisha beans from Panama!

GOLD SPONSOR LA MARZOCCO
I am thrilled to announce that we have secured a Gold Sponsor for the Coffee Encounters book and documentary – La Marzocco. The Italian company stands proud as a leader in coffee machines being used throughout the world, and also as a great supporter of the industry.

Of course, that’s exciting for us to have such a quality sponsor on board to support us and this major project. It means Florence is now part of our journey during March, to cover the factory and prominent leaders from the company.

Other sponsors of this project include Huhtamaki, No Queue, Equal and Latorre & Dutch. These companies also have to be commended for their support of the Australian coffee industry. We will be traveling to Costa Rica, Honduras, Ethiopia and Kenya with Andres from Latorre & Dutch.

The list of roasters and their chosen source country includes:

Bean Alliance – Costa Rica
Belaroma – Peru
Campos Coffee – Saluwesi
Clandestino – Bolivia
Danes Coffee – Sumatra
D’Angelo Coffee – Guatamala
Di Bella – Brazil
Dimattina – Nicaragua
Genovese
Grinders – Costa Rica
Howe Farming – Australia
