La Marzocco wants to congratulate Jooyeon Jeon of Momos Coffee in South Korea, winner of the 2019 World Barista Championship. The 20th edition of the competition took place from Thursday to Saturday at the 2019 SCA Speciality Coffee Expo in Boston, Massachusetts USA.

Michalis Dimitrakopoulos of Greece was runner up, Cole Torode of Canada took third place, Mikael Jasin of Indonesia took fourth, Wojtek Bialczak of Germany was fifth place, and Mathieu Theis of Switzerland finished in sixth place. We congratulate all the participants for a job well done!

Jeon becomes only the second female barista to earn the title after Agnieszka Rojewsk of Poland in 2018.
