Sustainable Harvest starts a producer relief fund

May 6, 2020 in International

Sustainable Harvest is based in Portland, Oregan, and works on transparent relationships that increase value throughout the supply chain, all while fostering greater sustainability while importing coffee from around the world.

They started a Go Fund Me for developing countries for coffee producers during the Covid-19 crises.

The money will go to fund the production of farmer “relief kits.”

These kits will contain:

  • Staple foods such as pasta, tuna, rice, beans, tortillas, and grains.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) for producers and essential workers.
  • Cleaning supplies to sanitize households and workplaces.

Please read more about the initiative here.
